Position: President, CEO & Director
Mr. Hewett is a Professional Engineer with over 40 years of experience in the mining industry. He graduated in 1972 from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology and has worked his way through many aspects of the mining profession from Mine Geologist, Exploration Manager to Chief Engineer with several major Canadian mining companies. Mr. Hewett joined the Northair Group as Exploration Manager in 1981 and retired as President, CEO and Director of International Northair Mines Ltd in 2014. He is a fellow of the Geological Association of Canada, a life member of the Canadian Institute of Mining & Metallurgy and holds memberships in the Association of Professional Engineers of British Columbia, the Association for Mineral Exploration British Columbia and the Society of Exploration Geologists.
|Thomas H. Burkhart, Director|
Mr. Burkhart is Vice President of Exploration for Argonaut Gold Inc. Prior to his current role with Argonaut Gold, Mr. Burkhart was Vice President of New Dimension Resources Ltd. (1999-2010) and Vice President of Pegasus Gold Inc. (1984-1998) Mr. Burkhart graduated with a B.Sc. in Geology in 1979 from the University of Nevada. He has nearly 30 years experience in exploration and project management in Mexico, South and Central America, Canada, Alaska, Australia and the Western U.S.
Mr. Dawson is the President of Dawson Geological Consultants Ltd., a geological consulting company based in Vancouver, British Columbia. He has 40 years experience as a Professional Consulting Geologist, and has been a Director of several public companies in the mineral resource industry including Minefinders Corporation Ltd. and Kivalliq Energy Inc. and is a member of Technical Advisory Board of Kaminak Gold Corp. In addition to managing his own consulting geological firm for many years, as a partner with Kerr, Dawson & Associates Ltd. from 1972 to 1985, Mr. Dawson participated in the discovery of the Blackdome Mine, Frasergold and Taurus Properties in British Columbia and the Big Horn Mine in Arizona. He was also part of the original Pan Ocean team, which in 1975 made the discovery of the Lac Cinquante uranium occurrence in Nunavut. Mr. Dawson Graduated from Memorial University with a B.Sc. in 1960 and a M.Sc. in 1963.
Mr. Heffernan is Executive Vice President of Exploration for Luna Gold Corp. Prior to Luna Gold he was VP Exploration of True Gold until it was acquired by Endeavour Mining in April 2016. Heffernan is a registered professional geologist with 20 years of hands-on exploration and management experience throughout the Americas and Africa. Prior to joining True Gold, he held the dual positions of VP Exploration for Wealth Minerals Ltd., and Exploration Manager (Argentina) of Cardero Resource Corporation. Previous to that he was with Equity Exploration Ltd., a Vancouver-based consulting and contracting firm specializing in turn-key geological project management. Mr. Heffernan received his B.Sc. (Geology) from the University of Alberta and completed his M.Sc. (Geological Sciences) with the Mineral Deposit Research Unit (MDRU) at the University of British Columbia.
Mr. Wenger, is the Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary at Pilot Gold Inc. where he is part of a management team that has raised over $100 million, and successfully completed multiple property transaction deals and acquisitions. Prior to Pilot Gold Inc., Mr. Wenger worked for Ernst & Young LLP Chartered Accountants from 2001 to 2011, where he acquired considerable experience in financial reporting for both Canadian and U.S. publicly listed companies, primarily in the mining industry. Mr. Wenger has been a Chartered Professional Accountant with the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia since 2006.
Position: Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Johnstone graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1977 with a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) degree and in 1979 earned his chartered accountant designation. He has over 35 years of financial experience with public and private companies. During the past 25 years, Mr. Johnstone has focused on mineral exploration and development stage public companies throughout North and South America. Previous to joining New Dimension Resources, Mr. Johnstone was CFO of International Northair Mines Ltd. (from 2011 to 2014) after serving as CFO with Creston Moly Corp., during which time he played a significant role with the company prior to its acquisition by Mercator Minerals Ltd in 2011.
Position: Corporate Secretary
Ms. Nowak has 20 years of experience in the securities legal industry and is currently the Corporate Secretary for New Dimension Resources Ltd. and North Arrow Minerals Inc. Previously she was the Corporate Secretary for Kaminak Gold Corporation, Kivalliq Energy Corporation, West Melville Metals Inc., Northair Silver Inc. (formerly International Northair Mines), Troon Ventures Ltd., Stornoway Diamond Corporation, Capstone Mining Corp. and Creston Moly Corp. Prior to joining the public company sector, Ms. Nowak was a paralegal with DuMoulin Black LLP and held positions with Nexus Venture Capital Lawyers and Aber Diamond Corporation.
