The Company maintains a claim internal to the significant Voisey's Bay Nickel Company deposit, as well as an interest in SVB Nickel Company Ltd.
NDT (Now New Dimension Resources) was formed during the Voisey's Bay exploration rush and it continues to hold (as NDR) key ground in this attractive Labrador exploration district. One of the Company's claims is situated internal to the Voisey's Bay Nickel Company's deposits, which have reported proven reserves of 31.7 million tonnes grading 2.88% nickel, 1.69% copper and 0.14% cobalt in the open-pitable Ovoid deposit alone. Another 110 million tonnes of resources in three separate deposits has also been identified.
This property, Project 61, is located within the Voisey's Bay Nickel Company Limited ("VBNCL") discovery claim block, approximately seven kilometres southwest of their deposit. It is postulated through geophysics that an extension of the main deposit trends southwest toward a significant body of geologically favourable rocks (troctolite) known as the Ashley Zone. This zone is located immediately north of Project 61 with the southern part of the troctolite extending into the project area.
On Project 61, drill hole #28-61 was drilled to 524 meters to test the base of a troctolite intrusion that is postulated to represent the southern most extent of the Reid Brook intrusion, which hosts the Voisey's Bay deposits. The hole intersected troctolite which is brecciated and veined by the younger Makhavinekh granite, down to a depth of 475 metres and then entered granite. No economic mineralization was encountered. Drill hole #29-61 tested weak MT conductors coincident with a gravity anomaly about 200 metres east of hole #28-61. The drill hole intersected the same brecciated troctolite as #28-61 down to 322 metres and was stopped after intersecting 102 metres of granite. No economic mineralization was encountered.
South Voisey Bay - Labrador
Approximately 90 kilometres south of the Voisey's Bay deposits, the Company, along with Donner Minerals and others, hold an interest in a company formed to consolidate holdings in the South Voisey Bay area. This Company, SVB Nickel Company Ltd. ("SVBN") controls in excess of 40,000 hectares covering geological targets with the potential for a discovery comparable to Voisey's Bay.
